How to connect your Instagram account

Connecting your Instagram business account to CareerArc allows us to post EB campaigns to that page on your behalf and is an integral part of our automated distribution service. 

To connect your Instagram account to CareerArc, you must: 

1. Convert your Instagram personal account to a business account 
2. Link your Instagram account to your Facebook company page

Each user is able to connect their Instagram business account to CareerArc. To connect the Instagram account to CareerArc, select Profiles from the left-side menu.

Choose Add profile from the top right of the page and select the Instagram option.

This will open a window where you can choose to authorize your own profile or create an invitation for another user to authorize their profile without needing to be a CareerArc user. Select the Authorize option to authorize your own profile. Enter your username and password for the Facebook account you would like to connect and select the option to continue as that sign in profile.

After the account is verified by Facebook linked account, the page will load the different company pages associated to the account. Select the page you would like to link to the CareerArc system and select Next.

Leave all the permissions enabled on the next screen to allow CareerArc to post on your behalf. Select Done to finalize the process.

You've now linked your Instagram page to CareerArc, so our system can post on your behalf. 

Add a nickname for the account (this is the name we will display when selecting profiles for Campaigns) and select Save.

Now your Instagram account will appear on the Social profiles page.

Special Notes:

• Profiles

  • CareerArc supports posting to Instagram business accounts only

  • NOTE: Instagram does not support posting to personal profiles.

• Authorization

  • Facebook/Instagram credentials are required to connect a profile with CareerArc.

    • If a User’s personal Facebook profile is connected to company profiles, they can use their personal profile credentials to authorize all connected company and/or location profiles in a single step.

    • Instagram requires that accounts are reauthorized every 90 days.

    • CareerArc will notify users when their profiles require reauthorization.
