How to connect your social profile to CareerArc

Connecting your social profile to CareerArc allows us to automatically post jobs to that page on your behalf and is an integral part of our automated distribution service.

Each dashboard user is able to connect their social profile - and any other social profile they manage - to CareerArc. Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts may be connected to CareerArc as part of our automated distribution for Jobs campaigns and Employer brand campaigns. Instagram pages may also be connected for publishing employer brand content.

Let's get started!

To connect a social profile you manage, select Profiles from the left side menu.

Choose Add profile from the top right of the page, then select the platform your profile is on.

Since you have the credentials to authorize a page you manage, you may go ahead and select the yellow Authorize button.

Follow the prompts on the page to authorize the channel. After you've completed the authorization, you can click back into the profile you added and edit its nickname at any time.

• • Note: we recommend following a specific naming convention, which will make it easier for you to find the pages you're trying to connect to your campaigns. For example, "[First Name]  [Last Name]" or "FB - Careers Page"

 

Important: Only full admins of a social channel (e.g. LinkedIn super admins) can complete the required authorization. Partial admins will not be able to connect their page to CareerArc until their admin level is changed.

Here are notes to keep in mind for each platform:

•  Twitter

  • Profiles

    • CareerArc supports posting to any authorized Twitter profile.

    • There is no differentiation between company and individual Twitter accounts.

  • Authorization

    • Twitter credentials are required to connect a profile with CareerArc.

    • Twitter accounts do not have an authorization expiration like Facebook or LinkedIn.

• Facebook

  • Profiles

    • CareerArc supports posting to two types of authorized Facebook profiles, including:

      • Company profiles

        • Profiles associated with a specific company or brand.

      • Location profiles

        • Profiles associated with a physical company/brand location.

    • NOTE: Facebook does not support posting to personal profiles.

  • Authorization

    • Facebook credentials are required to connect a profile with CareerArc.

      • If a User’s personal Facebook profile is connected to company profiles, they can use their personal profile credentials to authorize all connected company and/or location profiles in a single step.

      • Facebook requires that accounts are reauthorized every 90 days.

      • CareerArc will notify users when their profiles require reauthorization.

• LinkedIn

  • Profiles

    • CareerArc supports posting to two types of authorized LinkedIn profiles, including:

      • Company profiles

        • Profiles associated with a specific company or brand.

      • Personal profiles

        • Profiles associated with a specific person (e.g. a recruiter).

  • Authorization:

    • LinkedIn credentials are required to connect a profile with CareerArc

      • If a User’s personal LinkedIn profile is connected to company profiles, they can use their personal profile credentials to authorize all connected company profiles in a single step

      • LinkedIn requires that accounts are reauthorized every 60 days

      • CareerArc will notify users when their profiles require reauthorization.
