CareerArc loves saving you time, and our new "copy" feature increases productivity with fewer clicks than ever before! This release allows users to copy jobs and EB campaigns, EB posts, and schedules from a campaign's schedule list. These tools will help you scale custom campaigns, recycle your awesome EB material, and more. Check out a few of the details below, or jump to a section:
1. Copy (AKA duplicate) a jobs campaign
2. Copy (AKA duplicate) an EB campaign
5. Bonus feature: Updates to the weekly schedule selection
1. Copy (AKA duplicate) a jobs campaign
This feature is terrific for clients making campaigns that have an overlap of jobs or assets. With one button-click, CareerArc will copy the following details of an existing jobs campaign into a new jobs campaign for you:
- The campaign name. You'll need to change at least one character of the new name before continuing, or you can edit the entire campaign name to something new.
- Paused/active status. Don't worry about posts publishing immediately. Schedules are not carried over to copied campaigns, and no posts will publish until you add schedules.
- Job selection. Do you have recruiters using lots of similar job tags? Cut your workload in half when adding new folks by copying an existing campaign and tweaking the new campaign's jobs and title.
- Asset groups. A small miracle for advanced users who want to scale their custom campaigns!
Note: Schedules are not copied during this process, so no posts will go out until you add them. Since the campaign is new, the post history will also not be copied.
2. Copy (AKA duplicate) an EB campaign
This feature is great for clients who like keeping their EB campaigns organized by year and/or season but use much of the same material. With one button-click, CareerArc will copy the following details of an existing EB campaign into a new EB campaign for you:
- The campaign name. You'll need to change at least one character of the new name before continuing, or you can edit the entire campaign name to something new.
- Paused/active status. Don't worry about posts publishing immediately. Schedules are not carried over to copied campaigns, and no posts will publish until you add schedules.
- Standard posts. No need to build these from scratch when you've already got material to recycle! The standard posts are editable if any changes are needed.
- Magic posts status (on/off). This is simply the on/off switch. See notes on magic posts below.
These details are not copied:
- Tagging of any assets to the new campaign. A new campaign creates a new EB category tag, and that new tag must be added to your assets in order for magic posts to operate on the new campaign.
- Schedules
- Post history, as it's a new campaign
3. Copy an EB post
With this feature, you can copy any EB post; whether it's a standalone post, standard EB campaign post, a published post, or a scheduled post. Did you have a post perform especially well? Put it back out there with a couple of clicks!
We've made it easy to copy posts by adding an option for it in several places around the dashboard, such as:
- EB campaigns' standard posts modal:
- The posts library (Publish > Posts):
- The calendar
When you copy a post, the post builder opens with all the post’s content, which is editable. The post settings pre-filled and pre-selected including:
- EB Category
- Post text
- Media
- Post timing/settings
Notes:
-
- For standalone posts, you will still need to specify which profiles to publish to, as this information is not copied over.
- We strongly recommend editing any duplicated posts going to Twitter, as they often block exact duplicate posts.
4. Copy a schedule
Easily scale the ambassadors in your EB or jobs campaigns by copying a schedule from a campaign’s schedule list. When you copy a schedule, we copy over everything other than the profile, including:
- Campaign
- Time zone
- Start date
- Schedule (CA recommendation or custom)
You can even change the campaign before saving, which allows you to carry over copy complex frequency setups from one campaign to another!
5. Bonus feature: Updates to the weekly schedule selection
Now, when choosing “weekly” in manual frequency, the default is no days selected rather than all days selected. When you say fewer clicks... we listen!
