December 19, 2022: Campaign tagging by Job ID and Improved posting schedule variance

The CareerArc team has been working hard to continue to deliver improvements to the new platform. Today we have Job ID tagging and posting variance added to the already robust posting system in CareerArc.

Campaign Tagging by Job ID

CareerArc currently auto-tags jobs during the job source process based on the job’s specific data. While this accounts for the most common tagging needs, several use cases require the ability to manually tag jobs, including:

  1. Creating recruiter campaigns when jobs don’t include specific recruiter tags and can’t use location or keyword tagging.
  2. Running a ‘Hot Jobs’ campaign to post very specific jobs that can’t be narrowed down with title and location alone

Now when selecting the job tags within a campaign, it is possible to select specific job IDs, and job titles, or even to copy and past jobs id's from a CSV format:

Improved posting schedule variance

Now your campaign posting schedules will be varied based on the time frame selected for your schedule and the number of posts within that time frame. The system automatically groups this schedule based on the following:

  1. The system divides a profile’s posting schedule into ‘slots’, corresponding with the daily posting window and the number of daily posts scheduled.

  2. Adds random time selection algorithm to select the actual posting time within a specified slot

  3. Adds a buffer of 15 minutes between posting slots to prevent any posts happening too close to one another

Sample use cases:

Jill has a schedule to publish 3 All Jobs posts a day Monday - Friday between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM

  • The daily posting window is from 9am-9pm = 12 hours
  • This means the system will create 3 posting slots based on the amount of posts

  • Slot length = 4 hours (number of posting hours divided by number of posts)

    • Slot 1 = 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

      • Post 1 publishes at 9:43 AM (based on random time selection within slot 1)

    • Slot 2  = 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

      • Post 2 publishes at 2:29 PM (based on random time selection within slot 2)

    • Slot 3  = 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

      • Post 3 publishes at 8:16 PM (based on random time selection within slot 3)

Neil has a schedule to publish 1 EB post on Fridays between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM

  • Daily posting window hours = 6
  • Number of posts/slots = 1

  • Slot length = 6 hours (6/1)

  • Slot 1 = 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    • Post 1 publishes at 11:02 AM(based on random time selection within slot 1)

This new posting schedule variance will allow for a more random and organic feel to your posts across the platform. We hope you love these changes as much as we do!
